Ms. Kat Barry is the Prek-3 Afternoon Teacher. She is originally from San Antonio, "Go Spurs!", graduated from UTSA. She has a total of 10 years experience teaching early childhood, private school and public. This is her second year at Pleasant Hill Elementary. When Ms. Kat Barry is off time, she enjoys singing in a band, exercising and spending time with her children. One of her children entering high school this year! Time does really fly by.

 

  

Ms. Cantu is a bilingual, Pre-K 4 teacher. In the last twenty years she has taught first grade, kindergarten, PPCD and Pre-K-4. She is originally from McAllen, TX and is a University of Texas at Austin graduate. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, gardening and listening to audiobooks. 

 

Mrs. McDonald (previously Ms. Cantu) has been teaching at Pleasant Hill for almost 20 years. She has taught 2nd grade, 3rd grade, PreK 4 and been a Reading Specialist. She is now teaching PreK 3 and loves being the first school teacher for many of her students. Her goal is to create a nurturing environment that makes the first year of elementary school a positive experience. 

 

Ms. Polanco has a degree in psychology with focus in educational psychology. She loves to work at Pleasant Hill Elementary. She has been working as special education teacher since 2008. She enjoys teaching her students, academic skills and social behaviors that it will help them to succeed in life. Ms. Polanco also likes to learn about different cultures and try their delicious foods.

 

 

Ms. Pringle is a PreK teacher for 4 year olds. She has been teaching in AISD for 12 years, but has over 20 years experience working with young children from 3-6 years old. Ms. Pringle received her teaching degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She has wanted to be a teacher since she was in 6th grade, so teaching is her dream job! When she is not teaching, she loves to roller skate, work in her garden, and walk her dog, Bugsy.

 Mrs. Treviño decided to become a teacher when she was twelve years old. She had some very creative teachers who made learning fun throughout her school career. She was the first one in her family to attend college and received a degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
