Specialist

 

Ms. Calliham has taught in AustinISD for the past 38 years. She taught at Cunningham, Houston, and Pleasant Hill Elementary during those 38 years. She got her bachelor and masters degrees from University of Texas at Austin. For the last twenty years, she has served all elementary students on the campus as a Reading Specialist and seven years ago I began providing dyslexia services as a Dyslexia Therapist. This year she will be working in a part-time capacity to help small groups of students become better readers and writers of English.

 

Mrs Stamps has taught for over twenty years. She has taught kinder, first, second, third and has been a reading specialist. She enjoys working with students and helping them learn to read. She enjoys reading and traveling.

 

This is Mr. Ryan's second year as the intermediate reading specialist. Previously, he has taught third and fifth grade at Pleasant Hill. Mr. Ryan earned his Bacherlors of Science in Psychology and minor in business from Texas A&M. Before education Mr. Ryan was involved in multi-family property management and still maintains his license as a real estate agent. Outside of school, Mr. Ryan stays busy with his wife, son, and goldendoodle Biscuit. 

 

Stephanie Worthen is the Math Specialist at Pleasant Hill Elementary. This will be her eighth year on campus. She taught first and third grade before becoming an instructional specialist. Mrs. Worthen grew up in Houston but came to Austin to attend the University of Texas (Hook 'em!) where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. Mrs. Worthen lives with her husband and their sweet dog, Ginny. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with friends, reading, watching movies, and trying out new restaurants in Austin!
