Pleasant Hill Elementary School

First Grade

 

Mrs. Saucedo is a First Grade Teacher at Pleasant Hill Elementary. This will be her 4th year teaching. She has been at Pleasant Hill for 3 years teaching PreK and 1st Grade. Rosa began teaching in Mesquite ISD teaching 2nd Grade before moving to Austin in 2015. Mrs. Saucedo and her family are originally from Abilene, TX where she earned and received a B.S. in Elementary Education and Curriculum and Instruction from McMurry University and minored in Spanish. She and her husband have a 10 year old son that will attend Pleasant Hill as a 5th grader this year. She loves spending time with family and friends and doing any outdoor activities with them such as camping, swimming, hiking, and biking. Mrs. Saucedo is both an avid movie goer and an avid reader of Y.A. fiction, mysteries, historical fiction, biographies of comedians, and current publications related to education and teaching.

 

 

 

Mrs. Fuentes is a Bilingual 1st grade teacher. She has been teaching at Pleasant Hill for 14 years. Total years of teaching in Austin 22 years and 5 years in Eagle Pass Texas. Mrs. Fuentes has taught prek, kinder, third and fifth grade in Austin. She has also taught early childhood courses at Southwest Texas Junior College in Eagle Pass, Texas. Mrs. Fuentes attended Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. Mrs. Fuentes has two wonderful children that attend AISD. Mrs. Fuentes enjoys traveling and dining with her family. Mrs. Fuentes loves to work out when not running around the school she enjoys quiet time doing yoga. Mrs. Fuentes has a classroom where all students feel welcomed and learning is engaging.
