Lou Castañeda is a third grade bilingual teacher. Mrs. Castañeda graduated from the University of Texas with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a doctorate of jurisprudence from Drake University Law School. She is married and has a 13 year old daughter. She loves to walk her family dog, a German shepherd mix, named Lobo. Her hobbies include reading, going to the movies, and spending time with her family.
Ms. De La Cruz is from Austin, Texas and is a product of Austin Independent School District. She attended Angelo State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, going to concerts, and spending time with friends and family. This is her third year of teaching and she is looking forward to a fun and successful school year with your third grader!
This will be Ashley Rostro’s 6th year at Pleasant Hill Elementary. She is absolutely honored to be a 3rd grade teacher this year! She is looking forward to a wonderful year ahead full of learning, laughter and growth! She is a true Austinite, born and raised. She attended Galindo & Ridgetop Elementary, then attended Fulmore M.S, before graduating from Travis H.S in 2009. In 2013, she graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. Hook’em! She is engaged to be married. Her baby boy’s name is Mateo. She enjoys kayaking and playing softball.
